The Nicholson Drug Store was first established by J. A. Bright in 1890 and later sold to E. A. Nichols.  Five years after E. A. Nichols bought the store Doctor J. M. Nicholson assisted him with prescriptions until 1897 when Doctor Nicholson and his brother M. J. Nicholson purchased the drug store from J. A. Bright.  Doctor J. M. Nicholson and his brother M. J. Nicholson operated the business until 1902 when they sold the store to another brother A. A. Nicholson.  A. A. Nicholson operated the drug store passed the store on to his son Marshall Nicholson who operated it until January 1955.  When Marshall Nicholson passed away his widow sold half interest to George Austin and changed the store name to the Nicholson-Austin Drug Store.
